Side-by-side rankings of AI builders, scored against a public methodology.

A landing page has three jobs: look right, capture a response, and get published where people can find it. We read eight AI app builders' own documentation to see which jobs each one has actually designed for in 2026.
Five of eight AI app builders document an IP-based access restriction, and they restrict three different things: the builder workspace, the deployed app, or a platform API key. What each one actually closes, with plan boundaries.
SCIM, JIT and Directory Sync are not the same promise. A comparison of what each AI app builder actually provisions, and which ones automate removal as well as creation.
Only two of eight AI app builders document a form primitive at all, and the one with the most form documentation says it has no form element. We compare what each actually ships for a public intake form in 2026, and why the file-upload default decides it.
Only three of eight AI app builders help with end-user cookie consent in 2026, and a keyword search of their docs ranks them almost exactly backwards. Measured against each vendor's own documentation.
Five of eight AI app builders ship a feature called monitoring, and they are watching five different things. Only Replit emails you when the app is down, only Lovable looks for whether it is wrong, and Bubble's excellent alerting is pointed at your bill.
Six of eight AI app builders accept an existing code repository and two do not. Replit takes the widest range of sources, Base44 is the only one that moves live business records, and Lovable, the platform everyone else writes an import path for, documents that nothing can come in. Compared October 2026.
Four of eight AI app builders ship a scanner that audits the app their AI generated. Base44, Lovable, Bolt.new and Bubble all scan, and all four put the paywall somewhere different. A 2026 comparison of what each one checks and what it costs.
Six of eight AI app builders will show you something before they change your app, but the button name is the least reliable guide to what you get. Lovable, Replit, Bolt and Base44 enforce a read-only mode; v0's Plan Mode is a saved instruction; Bubble has no plan-mode branding and the best plan document of the lot.
Eight AI app builders, measured on what a CRM actually needs in October 2026: relational modelling, mail arriving from outside, and whether the mailbox belongs to the app or to a person.
Every builder takes instructions in chat. Only some let you write them down once and have them applied automatically, and fewer let you keep them. Lovable guarantees a file in your repo more firmly than its own knowledge field, and Base44 silently drops anything past 10,000 characters.
Embedding looks like a layout feature and behaves like an access-control feature. Across eight AI app builders there are five structurally different answers and three silences, and the question that separates them is what the frame gets handed along with the pixels.
